Help Us Create Wellington's First Freedom Feild
Every worthwhile idea begins somewhere. Freedom Fields doesn't need ten secure fields to prove what's possible. It needs one.
Our goal is to establish a single pilot Freedom Field here in Wellington that demonstrates how this concept can work safely, responsibly and sustainably. Once that first field is operating successfully, it becomes a model that can inspire and support the creation of many more throughout the region.
We're looking for partners who believe in this vision.
That might be a private landowner with suitable land. A community organisation. A trust. A business. Or anyone who sees the value in creating a place where dogs and their people can experience freedom without fear.
Our role is to do the work.
Freedom Fields will be responsible for developing, managing and operating the pilot project. We'll establish the systems, oversee bookings, communicate with users, maintain clear operating policies, manage day-to-day administration and work closely with our partner to ensure the field is cared for responsibly.
Our intention is to carry these responsibilities ourselves so that partnering with Freedom Fields is straightforward and sustainable.
We're not simply looking for access to land. We're looking for people who believe that this is a worthwhile investment in the wellbeing of our community.
For many owners of reactive, anxious or recovering dogs, opportunities for safe off-lead exercise are extremely limited. The result is unnecessary stress for both dogs and people. Freedom Fields offers a practical, compassionate solution that benefits everyone involved.
The pilot is where we prove that this vision works.
We want to create something that is professionally managed, financially sustainable, trusted by the community and, above all, genuinely valuable to the dogs and people who use it.
If the pilot succeeds, it won't simply create one wonderful place to visit. It will become the foundation for many more Freedom Fields in the years ahead.
